The Hanna Chromium VI Low-Range Checker (HI749) tests for the presence of Chromium VI (Hexavalent Chromium) in concentrations within the range of 0 to 300 ppb with an accuracy of ±3 ppb in samples such as drinking water and wastewater. With a digital readout, Hanna Checkers provide greater measurement accuracy when compared with chemical test kits that rely on human perception of color.
The HI749 Checker® HC (Handheld Colorimeter) provides a simple, accurate and cost-effective way to measure chromium VI. Due to its corrosion-resistant properties, hexavalent chromium plays an important part in the plating industry and cooling towers.
