INTRODUCTION
This training is an interactive program that discusses the importance of Personal Protective Equipment, as well as the regulations and legal responsibilities pertaining to PPE in the workplace. It is an essential awareness module for all employees assigned to hazard-prone environments at work.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, helmets, boots, gloves, respirators, and any other similar equipment to reduce employee exposure to hazards. PPE is addressed in specific standards for the general industry, shipyard employment, marine terminals, and longshoring. To ensure the greatest possible protection for employees in the workplace, the cooperative efforts of both employers and employees will help in establishing and maintaining a safe and healthful work environment.
