Rabeprazole Sandoz 20mg is indicated for:
Healing and symptomatic relief of erosive or ulcerative gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Healing of duodenal and gastric ulcers
Helicobacter pylori eradication in combination with appropriate antibacterial therapeutic regimens for the treatment of peptic ulcer disease or chronic gastritis
Long-term management of GERD
Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcer recurrences associated with low-dose aspirin therapy
Dosage: The recommended oral dose is one 20 mg tablet to be taken once daily.
For active GERD, the usual duration is 4 to 8 weeks.
For maintenance therapy, the usual dose is 10 mg once daily.
For Helicobacter pylori eradication, rabeprazole is used in combination with clarithromycin and amoxicillin.
Administration: Swallow the tablet whole with a sufficient quantity of water. Do not chew or crush the tablet.
Timing: Can be taken with or without food.
Missed Dose: If a dose is missed, take it as soon as you remember unless it's almost time for your next dose. Do not double the dose.
Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver disease, or are taking other medications.
