Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg of cetirizine dihydrochloride. Cetirizine is an antihistamine used to relieve allergy symptoms2.
Indications:
Cetyrol is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of:
• Seasonal allergic rhinitis (hay fever)
• Perennial allergic rhinitis (year-round allergies)
• Urticaria (hives) of allergic origin
Instructions:
• Dosage: Adults and children aged 6 years and above: 10 mg once daily. It can be taken either as a single dose or divided into two doses of 5 mg each.
• Method of Administration: Swallow the tablet with a glass of water.
• Precautions: Avoid alcohol as it may increase drowsiness. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, and dose adjustments may be necessary.
• Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to cetirizine, any of its excipients, hydroxyzine, or piperazine derivatives. Not recommended for patients with severe renal impairment.
