Each tablet contains 40 mg of telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB).
Indications:
Micardis is used to treat:

• Hypertension (High Blood Pressure): Helps lower blood pressure to reduce the risk of stroke, heart attack, or kidney problems.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: Especially in patients who cannot take ACE inhibitors.

1. Dosage: Take 40 mg once daily, with or without food. Your doctor may adjust the dose based on your response.
2. Timing: Take it at the same time each day.
3. Monitoring: Regularly monitor your blood pressure and kidney function.
4. Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, are pregnant, or planning to become pregnant.
5. Side Effects: Be aware of possible side effects such as dizziness, back pain, or hyperkalemia.
