Spanjaard Dry Lube PTFE (Teflon) Spray
Product Description
A dry lubricant consisting of a dispersion of very fine particles of PTFE in a superior, air-drying resin. The dried coating is non-toxic and non-staining.
Applications
For use in a low load-carrying application where use of a conventional wet lubricant is undesirable (for high rubbing pressures use Spanjaard ADF with MoS2).
Spanjaard CDF provides dry lubrication in dusty conditions and is ideal for the food, paper, plastics, textile and wood industries.
The Spanjaard CDF is totally resistant to water, most chemicals and solvents. It displays good release and anti-stick properties.
The opaque white Spanjaard CDF film is also excellent as a curtain rail and drawer roller lubricant. It also provides a protective coating resistant to nearly all acids (including nitric acid) and alkali.
Release agent in the moulding of polycarbonates (e.g. telephone casings).
The film will completely cure at ambient temperature within 24 hours and will give excellent adhesion on a prepared surface.
Application Instruction
1. Thoroughly clean and degrease the component to be treated, preferably with a solvent-based cleaner.
2. Shake the aerosol can vigorously for one minute after the agitator balls are free. Apply one or more thin layers of CDF to dry surface from a distance of + 20cm. Allow 5-10 minutes drying for each coat. It is possible to obtain a + 8μ film thickness by a single pass from an aerosol spray from a distance of + 20cm.
Several coatings may be applied for greater surface protection where tolerances are not critical.
3. The coating should be allowed to cure at room temperature for 24 hours or at 200˚C for one hour.
