The Pre-Insulated MJPB Sleeve Connector is designed for the secure joining of insulated overhead phase conductors in low-voltage service lines. It is suitable for both aluminium and copper stranded cores, allowing connections to be made with or without mechanical traction. This connector is typically applied during installation, repair, or modification of overhead electrical networks. It enables reliable junctions between conductors of equal or unequal cross-sections, covering all combinations within the 6–35 mm² range.
For proper installation, the sleeve is crimped using die size E140, ensuring a consistent, durable, and electrically stable connection that maintains network integrity.
Suitable for use with or without mechanical traction
Excellent dielectric strength, greater than 6 kV
UV-resistant materials for long-term outdoor performance
Integrated barrel anchor/barrier allows full crimping on one side without inserting the opposite cable
Fully compliant with NF C 33-021, EN 50-483, and TNB & SESB technical specifications
Operational voltage: 415V
In the 1980s, MICHAUD became the first company in the world to develop the pre-insulated compression sleeve for the French power utility ErDF. This innovative sleeve was designed to deliver a dielectric strength of 6 kV even in water, earning wide recognition for its reliability and performance.
The same proven technology has since been expanded across other products in the range and is now used worldwide. Today, MICHAUD’s pre-insulated solutions remain the reference standard for high-quality, durable electrical connections.
