Protect your sensitive and valuable exhibits and archived material with WiFi data logger testo 160 THL. The testo 160 THL climate logger with integrated temperature, humidity, lux and UV sensors ensures comprehensive monitoring of the ambient climate and light conditions in museums at all times.

Product Description

The testo 160 THL belongs to the testo 160 data logger range, which was developed especially for the particular requirements in museums. Thanks to versatile options for combinations of integrated sensors and probes, any monitoring situation, from exhibitions to storage, is covered.

Operation and programming of the data logger is simple and carried out directly via the Testo Cloud.

Monitoring temperature, humidity, illuminance and UV radiation with WiFi data logger testo 160 THL

WiFi data logger testo 160 THL is more than just an easy-to-use climate logger for humidity and temperature monitoring. Thanks to additional integrated sensors for lux and UV radiation, it provides accurate information about the light conditions in a display cabinet or exhibition room.

Measurement data is stored by the data logger via your WLAN directly to the Testo Cloud. If limit values are exceeded, you will be notified immediately by email or (optionally) SMS thanks to the alarm function. You can access all measuring values and analysis functions at any time and from anywhere with an internet-capable smartphone, tablet or PC.

The WiFi data logger testo 160 THL – adaptable and discreet

The small dimensions of the testo 160 THL (64 x 92 x 24 mm) and its simple design enable it to be positioned easily in an exhibition or display cabinet. In conjunction with the optionally available customisable deco-cover (see accessories), the data logger can be adapted to blend in with the surroundings and therefore remains inconspicuous. This means your exhibits will always be the focus.

Perfectly networked: with WiFi data logger testo 160 THL and the Testo Cloud

The Testo Cloud is the core operating element of the testo 160 data logger range. You can use the testo 160 THL to store your measurement data in the Testo Cloud via an available WLAN. Here you can configure your WiFi data loggers, set limit value alarms and analyze your measurement data.

You must first register at www.museum.saveris.net to have access to the Testo Cloud. Installing the system is simple and can be carried out either via a browser or with the testo Saveris 2 App for IOS and Android.

Depending on the desired range of functions, you have a choice between the free Basic and more extensive Advanced functionality for use of the Testo Cloud. You can use the Advanced functionality, for example, to create up to 10 users per account or set an SMS alarm if limit values are exceeded.

Areas of application for the WiFi data logger testo 160 THL: museums, archives and storage depots

Reliably measure the temperature, humidity, illuminance and UV radiation in the display cabinet or exhibition room at all times. The professional WiFi data logger testo 160 THL is optimised for applications relating to the monitoring of ambient conditions in museums, galleries or other exhibition venues. It can be used to reliably protect your sensitive and valuable exhibits against damage.

Further advantages and functions of WiFi data logger testo 160 THL

The internal data store capacity of the WiFi data logger is 40,000 measuring values, and the housing is protected according to IP20. Applications

Monitoring the micro-climate in a display cabinet

Reliable monitoring of ambient conditions in a display cabinet plays a decisive role in protecting valuable and sensitive exhibits. An unstable micro-climate in the display cabinet can result in damage to the objects. A WiFi data logger in the testo 160 range detects when limit values are critically exceeded and ensures the safety of your museum objects through its alarm function. This small WiFi data logger can also be placed discreetly in a display cabinet.

Checking and documenting the ambient conditions in the exhibition room

Paintings, sculptures and other exhibits may be badly damaged by an unsuitable climate in the exhibition room. Micro-cracks and fissures, which gradually grow larger, are the consequence of an unsuitable or highly fluctuating ambient climate. With WiFi data loggers in the testo 160 series, you can monitor the key parameters of temperature and relative humidity at all times. In this way, the WiFi data logger helps you to avoid climate-related damage. As loan items are often exhibited, a museum's reputation relies on the careful handling of such items. Consistent documentation of climatic conditions is generally included in a loan agreement. By storing data in the Testo Cloud, the museum can not only provide lenders with this documentation but can also offer them access at all times to the current climate conditions at their object. Thanks to the simple design and small dimensions, your WiFi data logger can be integrated into the room – without drawing attention.

Protecting museum objects through light and climate measurements

Unsuitable light conditions, as well as the wrong indoor climate, pose a huge risk to exhibition objects. They accelerate natural ageing processes and cause irreparable micro-cracks and discolouration. Prevent exhibits from losing their value and preserve cultural heritage with a WiFi data logger from the testo 160 series. Use the WiFi data logger to monitor humidity and temperature, and check lux and UV radiation. In this way, you can protect your museum objects against climate-related damage and discolouration.
