Steam Pau Recipe
Ingredients
1. Bakers' Choice Pau Flour 1000g
2. Cold Water (around 1 °C) 440-460g
3. Instant Yeast 10g
4. Sugar 150g
5. Shortening 100g
6. Baking Powder 10g
7. Filling (optional)
Method
1. Dissolve yeast with parts of the water and set aside.
2. Mix all dry ingredients in a mixing bowl.
3. Gradually pour in the yeast solution and cold water while mixing.
4. Add in shortening after 2 mins. Mix until the dough is developed and smooth.
5. Round the dough and allow it to rest on the table for 10 mins.
6. Divide the dough into 50-60g ball, wrap the filling (optional), round and place it on a piece of paper.
7. Proof until it doubles in size.
8. Steam it for about 20 minutes.
9. Your Bakers' Choice Pau is ready to be served.
