Timing of examination:
- When not having menses of about 2 months and UPT positive.
Preparation:
- Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Drink a lot of water and hold for at least one hour prior to scanning.
Aim:
- To identify the presence of gestational sac (will develop into baby) and its location and determine the gestational age of the baby.
