Candesartan cilexetil
Indication
Blopress is used for treating high blood pressure alone or with other medicines. It is also used in certain patients to treat kidney problems caused by diabetes (diabetic nephropathy). Blopress is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by relaxing blood vessels. This helps to lower blood pressure.
Instruction
Use Blopress as directed by your doctor.

Take Blopress by mouth with or without food.

Take Blopress on a regular schedule to get the most benefit from it. Taking Blopress at the same time each day will help you remember to take it.

Continue to take Blopress even if you feel well. Do not miss any dose.

If you miss a dose of Blopress, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Drug interaction
Drug interactions can occur if you take medicines such as diuretics or digoxin with Blopress. Some interactions may significantly increase the drug levels in your blood, while others may decrease your blood pressure too much or cause your body to metabolize the medicines differently than intended. Other medicines that may potentially cause Blopress drug interactions include potassium-sparing diuretics and potassium supplements. You should talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about specific drug interactions with Blopress that may apply to you
