Budesonide
Indication
Seasonal allergic & allergic/non-allergic perennial rhinitis. Treatment of nasal polyps. Preventive against nasal polyp after polypectomy.
Instruction
Adult & childn ≥6 yr Rhinitis 2 puffs into each nostril in the morning or 1 puff into each nostril twice daily. Treatment or prevention of nasal polyps 4 puffs (256 mcg) daily in 1-2 divided doses.
Drug interaction
Increased plasma levels with ketoconazole. Potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (eg, cimetidine).
