Content

• Each tablet contains Prednisolone 5 /mg, a synthetic glucocorticoid (corticosteroid).
• It has potent anti-inflammatory and immunosuppressive properties, commonly used to treat a wide range of inflammatory, allergic, and autoimmune conditions.

• Asthma, allergic rhinitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions
• Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus erythematosus, and other collagen diseases
• Skin diseases (e.g. eczema, dermatitis)

• Autoimmune hemolytic anemia, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura
• Leukemia, lymphoma, other corticosteroid-responsive malignancies

• Adrenal insufficiency (e.g. Addison’s disease)
• Congenital adrenal hyperplasia

• Ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease (in flare-ups)

• Nephrotic syndrome, organ transplantation, and cerebral edema (adjunctive)

• Initial dose ranges from 5 /mg to 60 /mg daily, depending on the severity and condition being treated.
• Maintenance dose is usually 5–15 /mg daily.
• Dose should be tapered gradually under medical supervision to avoid adrenal insufficiency.

• Dosage is adjusted by body weight or body surface area (e.g. 0.1–2 /mg/kg/day), and should be prescribed by a pediatrician.

• Take with food to reduce stomach irritation.
• Preferably taken in the morning to mimic the body’s natural cortisol rhythm.
• Do not stop abruptly if used longer than 2 weeks—taper down gradually.
• Long-term use requires monitoring of blood pressure, blood glucose, bone health, and signs of adrenal suppression or Cushing's syndrome.
