Indication
Prevention & therapy of damages due to faulty or deficient protein metabolism in chronic renal insufficiency together w/ a protein restricted (40 g/day) diet.
Instruction
Should be taken with food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Drug interaction
Aggravated elevated serum Ca levels w/ other Ca-containing drugs. Disturbed absorption of Ca by tetracyclines, quinolones & drugs containing Fe, fluoride or estramustine. Increased risk of arrhythmia w/ cardioactive glycosides. Monitor serum phosphate levels w/ concomitant Al hydroxide.
