Influenza virus surface antigens (haemagglutinin and neuraminidase)
Indication
Prevention of flu in persons ≥65year; adults and childrenwith chronic pulmonary and CV disorders, chronic metabolic diseases, chronic renal dysfunction and immunodeficiencies; children6 mth-18year on long-term acetylsalicylic acid.
Instruction
For children who have not previously been vaccinated, a 2nd dose should be given after an interval of at least 4 weeks.
Immunisation should be carried out by IM or deep SC injection.
Drug interaction
Immunosuppressives.
