Omeprazole Mg
Indication
Duodenal & gastric ulcer. NSAID-associated gastric & duodenal ulcers or erosions. H pylori eradication in PUD. Reflux oesophagitis. Symptomatic GERD. Acid-related dyspepsia. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush. May also be dispersed in water or any acidic drink (eg, juice). Administer dispersion w/in 30 min.
Drug interaction
Increased or decreased absorption of gastric pH-dependent drugs eg, ketoconazole, itraconazole, erlotinib, digoxin. Delayed metabolism of drugs metabolized by CYP2C19 eg, diazepam, phenytoin, warfarin or other vit K antagonist, cilostazol, clopidogrel. Increased serum levels of tacrolimus, methotrexate, saquinavir. Decreased serum levels of antiretroviral drugs eg, atazanavir, nelfinavir. Increased serum levels w/ CYP2C19/CYP3A4 inhibitors eg, clarithromycin or voriconazole. Decreased serum levels w/ CYP2C19/CYP3A4 inducers eg, rifampicin & St. John's wort.
