Content

• Active Ingredients: Each tablet contains 5 mg of empagliflozin and 500 mg of metformin hydrochloride.

• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: As an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when treatment with both empagliflozin and metformin is appropriate.
• Inadequate Control: For patients inadequately controlled with metformin or empagliflozin alone, or in combination with other glucose-lowering products including insulin.
• Cardiovascular Risk Reduction: To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.

• Dosage: The recommended starting dose is 5 mg of empagliflozin and 500 mg of metformin twice daily. The maximum recommended daily dose is 25 mg of empagliflozin and 2,000 mg of metformin.
• Administration: Take the tablet with meals to reduce gastrointestinal discomfort.
• Renal Impairment: In patients with an estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) between 30–44 mL/min/1.73 m², empagliflozin is not recommended. For eGFR between 45–59 mL/min/1.73 m², the maximum daily dose is 2,000 mg of metformin.
