Per 5 mL Dextromethorphan HBr 15 mg, promethazine HCl 3.6 mg
Indication
Relief of congestion & dry irritating cough eg, those associated w/ common cold, upper resp tract infection & allergic rhinitis.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food. Adult & childn >12 yr 10 mL 6-8 hrly, max: 40 mL/24 hr, childn 6-12 yr 5 mL 6-8 hrly, max: 20 mL/24 hr, 2-6 yr 2.5 mL 6-8 hrly, max: 10 mL/24 hr.
Drug interaction
Quinidine, CNS depressants including alcohol, barbiturates, hypnotics, narcotic analgesics, sedatives & tranquillisers, MAOIs.
