Per 0.5 mL Diphtheria toxoid not <30 IU, tetanus toxoid not <40 IU, pertussis toxoid 25 mcg, filamentous haemagglutinin 25 mcg, pertactin 8 mcg; inactivated poliovirus [type 1 (Mahoney strain) 40 D-antigen unit, type 2 (MEF-1 strain) 8 D-antigen unit, type 3 (Saukett strain) 32 D-antigen unit]
Indication
Used in infants from 6 weeks of age and over to prevent four diseases, diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough) and poliomyelitis (polio).
Instruction
INFANRIX-IPV will be injected into the upper leg muscle in infants under 12 months of age. In children over 12 months of age the injection may be given in the upper arm muscle instead.Each dose of INFANRIX-IPV is for single use only.Any residual vaccine must be discarded.The vaccine should never be given intravenously.
Drug interaction
Tell your doctor, nurse or pharmacist if your child is taking any other medicines, including any that you get without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.Your doctor and pharmacist have more information on medicines to be careful with or avoid when your child is given INFANRIX-IPV.
