Fructose is a type of monosaccharide sugar similar to glucose and occurs naturally in fruits. It is one of the simplest forms of carbohydrates and can be absorbed directly into the bloodstream without undergoing digestion.
Due to its high relative sweetness, consumers need only use 50-60% the amount of fructose compared to that of refined sugar to obtain the equivalent sweetness.
Can be added to fruit juices, isotonic drinks, health food, milk, coffee, tea, cereal drinks, yoghurt, red bean soup, bread, cake, desserts, tau foo fah, ice-kacang, herbal drinks and also as a dip for fresh fruits.
