Renowned for its respect for the environment and the production of high-quality wines, the Paolo Leo winery uses the most modern winemaking techniques to preserve the natural characteristics of the grapes. The resulting wine highlights the unique characteristics of the Negroamaro, a variety indigenous to the region.
On the nose, aromas of ripe red fruits such as blackberries and plums can be discerned, with nuances of sweet spices and a hint of vanilla due to aging in wood. The palate is powerful yet balanced, with well-structured tannins that blend harmoniously with fresh acidity.
This is a typical Negroamaro characteristic. ''Terreno'' pairs perfectly with Mediterranean cuisine, especially grilled red meats, dishes rich in aromatic herbs, and dishes based on mushrooms and truffles. It is also ideal to accompany aged cheeses.
