• Active Ingredient: Valsartan 80 mg per tablet.

• Primary Use: Treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension), heart failure, and reducing the risk of further heart damage after a heart attack.
• Mechanism: Valsartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist (angiotensin receptor blocker) that works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten (constrict).

• Dosage: Swallow the tablet with a glass of water. The typical starting dose for high blood pressure is 40 mg twice a day, which may be increased to 80 mg and 160 mg twice a day as needed. For heart failure, the starting dose is usually 40 mg twice a day, which may be increased to 80 mg and 160 mg twice a day.
• Precautions: Do not use if you are allergic to valsartan or any of the excipients. Avoid use if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have severe liver disease, kidney problems, or are taking other medications that may interact with valsartan.
