Contents:
Each film coated tablet contains 250 /mg of cefuroxime (as cefuroxime axetil), with excipients including sodium benzoate (E211) and propylene glycol among others.

Indications:
Zinnat tablets are approved for use in adults and children aged ≥ /3 /months for a range of infections caused by susceptible bacteria:

• • Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g. tonsillitis, pharyngitis, sinusitis, otitis media)
  • Lower respiratory tract infections (such as bronchitis, pneumonia)
  • Urinary tract infections (cystitis, pyelonephritis)
  • Skin and soft tissue infections (impetigo, furunculosis)
  • Uncomplicated gonorrhoea and early Lyme disease.

• • Adults and children ≥ /40 /kg: usually 250 /mg twice daily for 5–10 days (commonly 7 days). Some conditions like otitis media, bronchitis exacerbations or Lyme disease may require up to 500 /mg twice daily, and extended duration (up to 21 /days for Lyme disease).
  • Take tablets after food to maximise absorption.
  • Do not crush or chew the tablets—swallow whole. For those unable to swallow, use the suspension form instead.
