Moxipen for Oral Suspension contains the active ingredient amoxycillin trihydrate. Each 5 mL of the reconstituted suspension contains amoxycillin trihydrate equivalent to 125 mg of amoxycillin anhydrous.
Indications:
Moxipen is used for the treatment of:
Bacterial Infections: Such as infections of the ear, nose, throat, urinary tract, skin, and soft tissues.
Sexually Transmitted Infections: Such as gonorrhea.
Respiratory Tract Infections: Such as bronchitis and pneumonia.
Instructions:
Dosage:
Adults and Children (20 kg and above): 10-20 mL (250-500 mg) every 8 hours.
Children (8-20 kg): 6.7-13.3 mg/kg body weight every 8 hours.
Infants (6-8 kg): 50-100 mg every 8 hours.
Administration:
Reconstitute the powder by adding water up to the 60 mL mark on the bottle.
Shake the bottle well to ensure all the powder is wet and dissolved.
Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator.
Missed Dose: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next dose at the regular time. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
