Sunward Metoclopramide 10 /mg Tablet is indicated for:
Symptomatic treatment of nausea and vomiting, including that associated with acute migraine-induced nausea and vomiting in adults.
Prevention of delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) and radiotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (RINV) in adults.
Second-line option in the prevention of delayed CINV in children aged 1–18 years
Dosage:
Adults: Recommended single dose is 10 /mg, repeated up to three times daily. Maximum daily dose is 30 /mg. Duration: up to 5 days.
Children (1–18 years): Dosage is based on body weight (0.1–0.15 /mg/kg per dose, up to three times daily). Maximum daily dose is 0.5 /mg/kg.
Administration: Should be taken on an empty stomach; take 30 minutes before meals.
Precautions:
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity, gastrointestinal (GI) hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, GI perforation, pheochromocytoma, history of neuroleptic- or metoclopramide-induced tardive dyskinesia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, or known history of methemoglobinemia.
Use with caution in patients with underlying neurological disorders, cardiac conduction disorders, electrolyte imbalance, bradycardia, high dose & long-term treatment, concomitant use with other centrally-acting drugs, drugs prolonging QT interval, end-stage renal disease (CrCl ≤15 mL/min), moderate to severe renal impairment (CrCl 15–60 mL/min), severe hepatic impairment, pregnancy & lactation, and elderly.
Not suitable for children weighing less than 30 kg
