Automobile, motorbike, commercial, and other types of road vehicles can all be insured with motor vehicle insurance, usually referred to as car insurance or motor insurance.
All vehicles on the road must comply with the requirements of the Road Transport Act of 1987, which mandates that the vehicles have at least Third Party Bodily Injury Liability Insurance.

There are three common types of motor vehicle insurance available:
1) Comprehensive Cover
- Coverage for specific vehicle losses or damages
2) Third Party Liability
- Provide coverage for certain losses or damages to third parties that you or certain others may cause.
3) Third Party, Fire and Theft
- Coverage for certain theft- or fire-related losses or damages to your car only
