Indications:
Claritrox is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms in children aged 6 months to 12 years. It is used for:
- Upper respiratory tract infections (e.g., pharyngitis, sinusitis)
- Lower respiratory tract infections (e.g., bronchitis, pneumonia)
- Skin and soft tissue infections (e.g., folliculitis, cellulitis)
- Acute otitis media
- Mycobacterial infections (e.g., Mycobacterium avium, Mycobacterium intracellulare)
Instructions:
- Dosage: The usual dosage for children is based on body weight. The typical dose is 7.5mg/kg twice a day, up to a maximum of 500mg twice a day. The prepared suspension can be taken with or without meals and can be taken with milk.
- Preparation: Dissolve the granules in the specified amount of water to prepare the suspension. Shake well before each use.
- Duration: The usual duration of treatment is 5 to 10 days, depending on the severity of the infection and the pathogen involved.
