700 Series Fuel Filter/Water Separators with Integrated Priming Pump
700 Series fuel filter/water separators are equipped with state-of-the-art fuel pumps for easy fuel system priming. The motor/pumps come in two designs; the 12V DC brushed motor “roller-cell” fuel pump and the 12/24V DC brushless motor “gerotor” fuel pump. Both fuel pumps offer the benefits of electric on-demand priming at the push of a button. Output pressure for both pump types is regulated to 15 psi (103 kPa).
The 12/24V DC brushless gerotor(1) pump has fewer parts than gear or vane pumps, and the sensor-less control technology of the DC motor makes this product the most reliable filter and pump assembly on the market. The 12/24V DC pump assembly is ideal for tough high vibration on-engine applications. For off-engine mounting, the 12V DC pumps are a more economical alternative.
How They Work:
Filters are often installed in hard to reach places, making it difficult to change, and messy to re-prime after servicing. Air can get into fuel lines during filter change-out or extended storage. The Racor 700 Series Integrated Fuel Filter/Water Separator simplifies service and startup by eliminating messy filter pre-filling and engine hard starting.
The 700 Series assemblies are two stage filtration and re-priming systems. When priming, fuel from the tank is drawn through a fine pre-screen and into the pump. From there, fuel primes the spin-on filter element and then exits the filter assembly. In running mode, fuel bypasses the pump portion and enters the Aquabloc® media element directly, where particle and water contaminants present in diesel fuels are trapped before they can damage the fuel injection system. All Racor filter materials and seals are compatible with ultra-low sulfur diesel and biofuels up to B20 blend.
How to Choose
Select the 12V CD pump or 12/24V DC pump. Then Select the required maximum running flow rate and the appropriate Aquabloc® media efficiency rating. Generally, choose 30 micron rated for adding to an existing 2 filter system. Choose the 10 micron rated for protecting single filter systems. Opt for 10 micron when the 700 series is used as an easier to service remote filter.
The basic model comes standard with 12V DC priming pump and is good for off engine, low vibration use. For on engine use or for high vibration areas, order with the 12/24V DC brushless pump.
Note: pump is for priming purposes only, not for continuous operation unless protected by a pre-filter.

Upgrade Path:
R125 Spin-on Filter: Racor spin-on fuel filter/water separators are well known for high quality performance and engine protection. If you currently use a Racor 360, 400, 600, or 700 series fuel filter/water separator, you can now upgrade to the R125 replacement filter without the need to purchase a new bowl. The R125 is a great fit for heavy-duty and biodiesel applications. More Aquabloc® media in the R125 provides up to 3X the life and improved water removal when compared to standard filters.
• Compatible with Racor 345, 360, 390, 400, and 700 Series heads and bowls.
• High contaminant capacity.
• Improved water removal.
• Available with 10 or 30 micron Aquabloc® media.
• Great for heavy-duty and biodiesel applications.
• Flow 45 to 120 gph (170 to 454 lph) in upgraded applications.
• Easy upgrade with existing Racor parts.
Applications:
• All pre-filtration applications where easier access to filter maintenance and push button priming is desired.
Accessories:
• Racor Fuel Filter/Water Separator Pump Systems are available in a wide range of configurations, operating and maintenance choices. The product line includes systems with conventional brushed pumps and the new Racor brushless pump that was engineered using Parker Aerospace technology. The smart brushless pump systems control fuel delivery via a programmable chip. Fuel system conditions are analyzed and communicated to the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) which responds to the information. For additional information, please contact Parker Racor Division.
Notes:
(1) (Wikipedia) A gerotor is a positive displacement pump. The name gerotor is derived from "Generated Rotor". A gerotor unit consists of an inner and outer rotor. The inner rotor has N teeth, and the outer rotor has N+1 teeth. The inner rotor is located off-center and both rotors rotate.
