NRL 2022 took place at Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru on 3–4 September 2022, bringing an exciting spark of STEM innovation to the southern region of Malaysia. The event attracted 230 teams with an estimated 750-strong crowd, showcasing the rising interest in hands-on tech learning.
The event featured 6 unique competition categories, including the thrilling Speed Touch Challenge and powerful Sumo Master Showdowns, engaging participants from under 9 to 18 years old, as well as an open category.
Representing 8 states, young talents came together to challenge their creativity, technical skill, and teamwork under pressure. Prizes plus trophies—offering not just rewards, but recognition and motivation to budding innovators.
With its strong turnout and diverse participants, NRL 2022 helped lay the foundation for a national platform where young minds could dream, build, and compete.
NRL 2022 also gained wide attention from major media platforms like Sin Chew Daily, 8 TV News and China Press, highlighting its growing reputation as one of Malaysia’s top national robotics competitions.
