Gadoxetic acid
Indication
Only used for diagnosis. To detect localized lesions of the liver and to provide information about the characteristics of lesions in magnetic resonance imaging T1 (MRI) imaging.
Instruction
Inject the drug directly into a vein (bolus), undiluted.
Drug interaction
OATP inhibitors (anionic compounds such as rifampicin) interfere with the absorption of Primovist in the liver, thereby reducing the effectiveness of liver contrast. Elevated levels of bilirubin (> 3mg / dL) or ferritin may decrease Primovist's hepatic contrast effect (magnetic resonance imaging should be completed within 60 minutes after administration of Primovist). Within 24 hours after diagnosis with Primovist, determining serum iron levels by complex measurement method can lead to false values.
