Imipramine
Indication
Depression and Nocturnal enuresis.
Instruction
May be taken with or without food.
Drug interaction
Increased plasma concentration w/ CYP2D6 isoenzyme inhibitors (e.g. cimetidine, quinidine). Increased plasma levels w/ hepatic enzyme inhibitors (e.g. cimetidine) and decreased plasma levels w/ hepatic enzyme inducers (e.g. barbiturates). May potentiate the effect of anticholinergic drugs, catecholamines and CNS depressants.Potentially Fatal: Hyperpyretic crises or severe convulsive seizures may occur when used concomitantly w/ MAOIs.
