The Overhead Crane, Rigging, and Slinging training is aim to educate participants about the proper use of these critical components in various industrial settings. Overhead cranes are commonly used in many industrial workplaces to lift and move heavy loads. However, using an overhead crane can be dangerous if it is not used correctly. Therefore, it is important to follow proper safety procedures when operating an overhead crane, rigging, and slinging loads.
Participants will learn the basic concepts of operating an overhead crane, such as load capacity, centre of gravity, and safety measures. Our knowledgeable teachers will walk you through each step of securely operating an overhead crane while making sure you comprehend the essentials of crane controls and movements. You will learn about several rigging tools, including shackles, hooks, and wire ropes, in the rigging portion. To ensure the best performance and safety during lifting operations, our teachers will explain how to properly examine and maintain rigging equipment. Participants will be exposed to practical exercises to become familiar with the proper techniques for rigging and securing loads.
The rigging section includes a variety of rigging tools, including shackles, hooks, and wire ropes. Participants receive a thorough understanding of how to choose the right rigging equipment based on the weight, shape, and size of the load. You will also learn how to secure loads, calculate load angles, and avoid typical rigging risks.Participants will be instructed on how to use various sling types, such as wire rope slings, chain slings, and synthetic web slings, during the slinging component. The safe handling of loads is ensured by instruction on checking slings for wear and damage. To prevent accidents and equipment damage, the workshop places a strong emphasis on the significance of sling angles, hitch types, and load management techniques.
In addition to hands-on training, this workshop addresses critical topics related to risk assessment and hazard identification, highlighting best practices to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Participants will also be introduced to various lifting scenarios, simulating real-life situations to enhance decision-making and problem-solving skills.
