This inhaler is a pressurised inhalation suspension, which means it delivers the medication as a fine mist when you inhale. Indications:
Asthma: It is used for the regular treatment of asthma in patients who are not adequately controlled with inhaled corticosteroids alone. It helps to achieve overall asthma control, including the prevention and relief of symptoms, as well as the reduction of the risk of exacerbations1.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of COPD in adults aged 18 and older with a forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) less than 70% predicted normal and a history of exacerbations despite regular bronchodilator therapy.
Instructions:
Remove the inhaler from the foil pouch: If it's the first time you're using it, or if you haven't used it in more than 7 days, shake the inhaler well for 5 seconds, then release a test spray. Shake it again for 5 seconds and release a second test spray.
Prepare the inhaler: Shake the inhaler well for 5 seconds. Remove the mouthpiece cover by squeezing gently at both sides, then pulling out. Check the mouthpiece for foreign objects.
Inhale the medication: Breathe out fully, then place the mouthpiece into your mouth and close your lips around it. Inhale deeply and slowly while pressing down firmly on the top of the counter on the inhaler. Continue to breathe in and hold your breath for about 10 seconds, or as long as comfortable.
Repeat if necessary: For your second puff, shake the inhaler again for 5 seconds and repeat steps 3 and 4.
After use: Close the mouthpiece cover by pushing until it clicks in place. Rinse your mouth with water, spit out the water, and do not swallow it.
