Indication:
Regiocit is indicated as a replacement fluid for CRRT using regional citrate anticoagulation. It is particularly useful when systemic anticoagulation with heparin is contraindicated, such as in patients with increased bleeding risks.
Instructions:
- Preparation: Regiocit is a ready-to-use solution and does not require reconstitution.
- Administration: Use only with CRRT monitors. Do not use with a hemodialysis monitor.
- Dosage: The pre-filter infusion rate of Regiocit must be prescribed and adapted relative to the blood flow rate. The prescription should consider the flow rates of the effluent and other therapeutic fluids, the patient’s fluid removal requirements, additional fluid inputs and outputs, and the desired acid-base and electrolyte balance.
- Monitoring: Regularly monitor blood electrolyte levels, acid-base balance, and fluid inputs and outputs. Adjustments to the therapy will be made if needed.
- Storage: Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat.
