Galvus Met 50/1000 mg Film-coated Tablet contains two active ingredients:

• Vildagliptin (50 mg): A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor that helps to increase insulin release and decrease glucagon secretion.
• Metformin Hydrochloride (1000 mg): A biguanide that helps to reduce glucose production in the liver and improve insulin sensitivity.

• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Used as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus:
  • As initial therapy when diabetes is not adequately controlled by diet and exercise alone.
  • In patients inadequately controlled with metformin hydrochloride or vildagliptin alone.
  • In patients already treated with the combination of vildagliptin and metformin hydrochloride, as separate tablets.
  • In combination with other medicinal products for the treatment of diabetes, including insulin, when these do not provide adequate glycemic control.

• Dosage: The recommended dose is one tablet twice daily. The dose may be adjusted based on the patient's response and tolerability.
• Administration: Take the tablet orally with water, following your doctor's instructions. It should be taken with meals to reduce gastrointestinal side effects.
• Precautions: Inform your doctor if you have any allergies, liver or kidney problems, or if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Avoid using Galvus Met if you are more than 3 months pregnant.
• Storage: Store below 30°C, away from moisture and heat.
