Each capsule contains:
Doxycycline Hydrochloride: 100 mg
Indications:
Bacterial Infections: Used to treat infections such as:
-Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia)
-Urinary tract infections (e.g., urethritis)
-Sexually transmitted diseases (e.g., gonorrhea, syphilis, chlamydia)
-Skin infections
-Eye infections
-Intestinal infections
-Fevers associated with louse or tick bites (e.g., typhus fever)
-Acne and intestinal parasites (in combination with other medicines)
-Prevention of scrub typhus and traveler's diarrhea
Instructions:
Dosage: The usual adult dose is 200 mg on the first day of treatment (100 mg every 12 hours), followed by a maintenance dose of 100 mg/day. The maintenance dose may be administered as a single dose or as 50 mg every 12 hours. For more severe infections, the dose may be increased to 100 mg every 12 hours.
Administration: Take the capsule with a sufficient amount of fluid (e.g., water). It can be taken with or without food. Avoid taking it with dairy products, antacids, or iron supplements, as they can reduce the effectiveness of the medication.
