Elbow pain knowledge is great! Depending on the location of the pain, sports, activities and movements that need to be paid attention to and avoided are also different. Elbow pain is not only divided into parts, but also caused by different causes. So only golfers will suffer from "Golfer Elbow"?
No!
Anyone who performs repetitive movements or sports may suffer from Medial Epicondylitis!
“Golfer Elbow” is also called Medial Epicondylitis. The location is pain on the little finger side of the elbow. The main cause of pain is an inflammatory reaction caused by overuse or strain of the elbow tendons.
The biggest difference between “Golfer Elbow” and “Tennis Elbow” is the location of elbow pain! The inflammation site of the “Golfer Elbow” is the medial epicondyle of the humerus; “Tennis Elbow” is the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, as shown in the picture above:
“Golfer Elbow”/Medial Epicondylitis: Pain on the little finger side of the elbow
“Tennis Elbow”/Lateral Epicondylitis: Pain on the thumb side of the elbow
Whether it is Medial Epicondylitis or Lateral Epicondylitis, when your elbow starts to hurt, you should avoid secondary injuries caused by exercise and take some rest.
