These are coloured skin marking of slate-brownor blue/grey coloruing. Melanocytes (pigment cells) are found in the dermis. The difference between a nevus of Ota and nevus of Hori is its location. Nevus of Ota is found on the forehead and face around the eye area. There is also higher risk of developing melanoma cancer of the eye or central nervous system or glaucoma (increased pressure in the eyes. While Nevus of Hori often affects both sides of the face. Potential treatments include topical agents and laser treatments.
