Kahlua is a rich coffee flavored and sugar based liqueur made from Mexico.
In fact, ever since its introduction in 1936, Kahlua has remained the top selling coffee liqueur in the world.
It has even earned the place of the second largest single liqueur brand worldwide.
Along with its blend of fine Mexican coffee, Kahlua also contains a rich mix of corn syrup, vodka, and rum.
~TASTING NOTES~
Nose: Freshly ground coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla.
Palate: Lightly syrupy and sweet. Dark chocolate and coffee compete for prominence with strong vanilla and faint smokiness.
Finish: Mocha espresso and white chocolate (Milky Bar).
Overall: Previously a goto coffee liqueur but repeated drops in alcohol have ripped out the guts of Kahlúa to leave it comparatively thin compared to more premium competitors.
