• Treat anemia associated with chronic renal failure (including patients on dialysis and those not on dialysis).
• Treat anemia associated with myelodysplastic syndrome.

For patients with chronic kidney disease not on dialysis, it is administered subcutaneously or intravenously once every two or four weeks.
