Indication
Used for the treatment of:
External genital and perianal warts (condyloma acuminata) in adults.
Actinic keratosis on the face or scalp in immunocompetent adults.
Superficial basal cell carcinoma (a type of skin cancer).
Instruction
Dosage:
For warts: Apply 3 times a week (e.g., Monday, Wednesday, Friday) before bedtime.
For actinic keratosis: Apply 2 times a week (e.g., Tuesday, Thursday) before bedtime.
For basal cell carcinoma: Apply 5 times a week (e.g., Monday to Friday) before bedtime.
Administration:
Apply a thin layer to the affected area and rub gently until absorbed.
Leave on the skin for 6–10 hours, then wash off with mild soap and water.
Use only as directed by a healthcare provider.
Precautions:
Avoid use in patients with hypersensitivity to imiquimod or its excipients.
May cause local skin reactions such as redness, swelling, or itching.
Not recommended for use in children under 12 years of age.
Store at room temperature and protect from direct sunlight.
