Paracetamol Kabi 10mg/ml Solution for Infusion contains the active ingredient paracetamol. Each mL of the solution contains 10 mg of paracetamol.
Indications:
Paracetamol Kabi is used for the treatment of:
Moderate Pain: Especially following surgery.
Fever: When administration by intravenous route is clinically justified by an urgent need to treat pain or hyperthermia and/or when other routes of administration are not possible.
Instructions:
Dosage:
Adults and Adolescents (weighing more than 33 kg): 1 g (100 mL) per administration, up to 4 times per day, with a minimum interval of 4 hours between doses. Maximum daily dose: 4 g.
Children (10 kg to ≤ 33 kg): 15 mg/kg (1.5 mL/kg) per administration, up to 4 times per day, with a minimum interval of 6 hours between doses. Maximum daily dose: 60 mg/kg, not exceeding 2 g.
Infants (≤ 10 kg): 7.5 mg/kg (0.75 mL/kg) per administration, up to 4 times per day, with a minimum interval of 6 hours between doses. Maximum daily dose: 30 mg/kg.
Administration:
Administer the solution intravenously (IV) by infusion.
Ensure the immediate availability of oxygen and other resuscitative equipment when administering the infusion.
Missed Dose: This medication is typically administered by a healthcare professional in a clinical setting, so missed doses are not common.
