How does the SB Pressure Exhaust Valve work? |
|
The valve operates by applying the set point pressure to the top of a membrane set, maintaining regulation equal to this set pressure. This pressure can be adjusted manually via a precision regulator or electronically via an IP converter controlled by a PLC. When tank pressure exceeds the set point, the valve opens to release excess pressure through its side branch for either atmospheric discharge or collection. To ensure optimal function, there should be no backpressure beyond the vent port. The valve can also be force-opened by an air signal applied to the lower part of the membrane set. Cleaning is then carried out either using the integrated cleaning nozzle during CIP of the vent/recovery mains or through the optional CIP supply valve connected directly to the valve housing. |
