Features and Benefits
The WIK is a multistage, double-case pump with a tandem (in-line) impeller rotor, diffuser collectors and a single-diameter balance drum to compensate for residual axial thrust.
-
Back Pull-Out Cartridge-Style Construction – Inner case sub-assembly includes the rotor, diffusers, discharge head, suction head, seals and bearing assemblies, allowing quick replacement
-
Large-Diameter Shafts – Thermally stabilized to eliminate potential distortion from residual stresses
-
Precision-Cast, Low Specific Speed Impellers – Statically and dynamically balanced. Double keyed and positively secured against axial movement. Variety of first-stage impeller designs to meet NPSH conditions
-
Multi-Vane, Radially Split Diffuser and Channel Ring Collectors – Eliminate radial imbalances and ensure repeatable performance
-
Single-diameter Balance Drum – Compensates for residual axial thrust produced by tandem impeller arrangement
-
ISO 21049/API 682 Seal Chamber – Accommodates numerous types of mechanical seals in addition to wet and dry gas seals
-
Optional opposed impeller construction (model WIKO) for discharge pressure over 450 bar (6615 psi). The opposed design balances hydraulic thrust generated by the impellers
-
Tri-land radial and Kingsbury thrust bearings are standard. These heavy-duty design bearings minimize pump vibration and allow operation at high speeds
