Different switch brackets and position detections are available for the workpiece carrier detection and for area monitoring in transfer systems.
Switch brackets are available as an accessory for many stop module types.
The switch bracket used to hold inductive proximity switches M12x1,
for inquiry of workpiece carrier position.
For the navigation of the workpiece carrier in a transfer system it is important to know whether a workpiece carrier is present at the stop gate and how many workpiece carriers are piled up at the stop module. If a stop module lowers and releases the workpiece carrier, it is important to know when the stop module can rise up into the upper blocking position again to stop the next workpiece carriers. All these queries can be done with proximity switches, mounted in the switch brackets.
With the position detection ASW a region of a conveyor path is queried. When a workpiece carrier is in contact with the ASW, an inductive proximity switch M12x1 is actuated. The workpiece carrier actuates the ASW through its geometric shape.
The position detection ASW usually is used after lift-transverse units.
