Description

LUBRODAL TROMMELGRAPHIT is a waterbased and graphite containing paste that prevents oxidation and scale during heating processes (500 - 700 °C) and improves forming results.

Field of application

LUBRODAL TROMMELGRAPHIT has been specially designed for the precoating of smaller steel parts in warm forming and brass billets in hot forming (max. weight 500 g).

Method of application

LUBRODAL TROMMELGRAPHIT is applied mechanically with suitable rotating drums. Pulverizing equipment in form of beads (steel, ceramics) simplify the application. The precoating is normally done by a batch process. Billets treated with LUBRODAL TROMMELGRAPHIT have an unlimited storage time. Standard values for the consumption: 1 kg LUBRODAL TROMMELGRAPHIT is sufficient for the precoating of 500 billets (app. 250 kg total weight). The optimum ratio of graphitization is to be determined via operational tests. Opened containers should be properly resealed to prevent the evaporation of water.
