Base Ten Classroom Set is an excellent resource based on a 1 cm cube that establishes concepts related to the base ten number system. Since each component is a multiple of the next larger by a factor of 10, the blocks form a very good model for our base ten numeration system. Students can use the blocks to practice with place value. They can also use the blocks to create different patterns.
