Mersawa – PEFC-Certified Tropical Hardwood for Interior Joinery and Paneling
Mersawa is a medium-density tropical hardwood found across Southeast Asia, especially in Malaysia and Indonesia. Known for its light yellow-brown to pale reddish-brown color, straight to interlocked grain, and coarse but even texture.
Often chosen as a cost-effective alternative to Meranti, Mersawa is easy to machine, glue, and finish—making it suitable for both handcrafted and factory-produced wood products. As a PEFC-certified sustainable timber, it supports responsible sourcing and long-term environmental management.
Mersawa is available in custom sizes and can be supplied kiln-dried or untreated, depending on application requirements.
