LITMUS RED
* Red litmus paper is meant to test only for an alkaline PH level. Common acids include tartar sauce , corn, bacon and beer
LITMUS BLUE
* Turns blue under basic or alkaline conditions. It's most common use is to test swimming pool water
* Litmus paper is NOT used to determine the PH level of a solution
* If you need to find out the PH level, the correct test paper to use is the PH paper
