Used to interface between a S7-22X CPU and a Profibus DP network. Can be simultaneously operated as MPI and DP slave. MPI protocol enables simultaneous data exchange with MPI masters. Allows an S7-200 CPU to be connected to a Profibus DP or MPI network as a slave, at various band rates up to 12 Mbaud. With the exception of the module address, which is set with 2 rotary switches, all other settings are in the DP master. In MPI mode, can be used to connect operator panels such as TD200 or TDO70. Maximum number of nodes - 31.
